How to build quadcopter part2

in the pert 1 of how to build quadcopter tutorial in this blog, we already prepare anything we need. now, it's the time to join join them together into one functional drone.

1. to build a quadcopter we need to join the propeller into the motor, so when the motor rotate, the propeller also rotate and blow the wind.
it will look like the picture below:

2. for the next step on building a quadcopter, we need to assembly the motor to the quadcopter body. place all the motor in four different places. if you bought motor from the ebay, like I said in the previous tutorial. you will see some hole in motor body. you can use it to screw the motor to the quadcopter body.

3. after that, you have to connect the battery to the motor. use small cable to connect 4 of them in parallel mode. so when in connected all motor spin.

4. attach string to the quadcopter body. in this part of tutorial series, we just test about quadcopter balance, and motor power if it can fly or not. so we dont have any controller yet. the string used to pull the quadcopter down after it fly.

How to build a quadcopter - part 1

Quadcopter is one of the easiest to make and also one of the most stable drone, and maybe you've been wondering about how to build a quadcopter

 Here I want to tell you about it, check this out.


1. to build a quadcopter you need a quadcopter body, a part to put all of other parts.
if you want to make it yourself it's okay, but make sure you think about the stability, don't make the right side has more weight than the left side, etc.
the better plan is to buy the body on ebay. For the cheapest one, you can afford it for less then 10 bucks.

if you buy the body on ebay, make sure that it has a big place in the middle, so we can put our microcontroller there. we will use arduino microcontroller for it. I will tell you about it later, but just make sure it has the space for it.

2. to build a quadcopter, of course you need four motor. you can buy it on ebay for less than $50. choose the smallest and as light as possible. But it also must has big power enough to lift the body and the battery.

3. for the next step of building a quadcopter, you need the blade/propeller/fan (whatever you called it) to blow the wind below, so our quadcopter can fly. for this part, actually you can make it yourself, even with unused plastic things. but if you are lazy as me, here we comes to ebay again. you can buy it for less than $10.

4. and for the last thing of this part, of course you need a battery to give power to the motor.
buy the lightest battery so it doesn't cause the motor to work really hard.
